BISOUS is the duo project of greek percussionist Evi Filippou and Argentinean vocalist Lara Alarcón. They were introduced to each other in the free jazz Berlin scene and they converged not only as female artists, but also as young and restless characters, fueled by their mutual need for constant transformation. Filippou and Alarcón have been collaborating on the re-interpretation of elements extracted from the jazz and songwriting tradition. They utilize a free approach emanating from the strong improvised language they have both acquired over the years. Carrying an intense temperament, their stage presence is a hypnotizing ritual, interestingly combining grace and ecstasy.
